Growing up in a small town seems to be one of the best references for an interesting life. You walk down the street everyone knows your name and blue collar work is what youre taught. The city calls your name and the bright lights of Friday night can be seen from miles away. Teens grow up on simple philosophies; go to college, get married and the good ol’ American dream. The rumors spread by people are something of tall tales and fiction. So many of these things are present in the music written and performed by Philip Griffin Band. 
The bands EP release in 2009 “Philip Griffin Band” was just the beginning of small town pride and life lived through a young man’s eyes. The heart wrenching emotion of a love that didn’t last; “Left Us Here” to the triumph of “Watch Me Go”; the aspirations of “Worth It” and the countdown of the betrayal in “Running Out of Time”. Remaining on the EP is the true ballad of “Austin” and the honky tonk, two stepping success of “How Bout You and Me”. Griffin’s songs have such an emotional draw. They pier into your soul and create this amazing spectacle in your mind. The EP was just the beginning of the songwriting and heart and soul of each line that has been sung across the state of Texas. 
Philip Griffin Band has performed at many venues considered to be staples for Texas Music. The list includes; Goode’s Armadillo Palace, Firehouse Saloon, Shiners Saloon, Bandera Saloon, River Road Icehouse, Tavern on the Gruene, Shotzi’s, Josabi’s, The Cow Pony, Falcon Club, House of Blues (Houston), Big Texas (Spring), Crosby Fair and Rodeo, Jackson County Fair and Rodeo, and 100’s more bars and honky tonks. 
Philip Griffin Band has had the opportunity to share the stage with acts such as; Adam Hood, Neil Austin Imber, Dunville, Jason Cassidy Band, Scooter Brown Band, Donny Waits Band, Jody Booth, John Slaughter, Josh Ward, Charlie Lucas Band, Cody Jinks, Buster Jiggs, Jackson Taylor, Sundance Head, David Grace, Bri Bagwell, Hunter McKithen and the Offenders, Mark David Manders, Southern Breeze, Dewey Wayne, Jarrod Birmingham, Zach Walther and the Cronkites, The Pear Ratz, Max Stalling, Brandon Jenkins, Roger Creager,Kevin Fowler, Jason Boland and Wade Bowen. 
We released our second album, "Burning Bridges" and with great feedback from our fans have started putting together a new album as well as preparing to launch our first "for radio" single! Look forward to seeing big things come from Philip Griffin in 2014 as we have our eyes set on spreading our honky tonk, two stepping music across the state!
